Skin University

an evening built around glowy skin

Skin University is our education-first event — designed around three ways to actually get glowy skin: Korean skincare, developed by dermatologists in Gangnam, Seoul; hydration and herbs, at our tea station; and — just as important — socializing.

There's a real link between socializing, dopamine and skin glow. It's called psychodermatology — the study of how our mental state and neurochemicals directly affect skin health. It's also why stress breaks you out.

The point isn't to learn everything about skincare in one night — it's to learn the basics, grounded in science, not in whatever's trending or being thrown at your face on social media.

What we covered

Where most people go wrong.

Amazon

We love Amazon too. But when most of your skincare comes from there, you usually end up with twenty half-used bottles in a drawer — started, forgotten, or never made a difference.

Expensive medical serums

"My dermatologist sold me this $150 serum. It feels amazing, but I haven't seen results yet." Feeling nice on skin isn't the same as working.

Pharmacy referrals

"They told me to grab this at the pharmacy — they said it's good." They also get paid to say that. It's easier than actually building you a routine.

Influencer science

Poreless close-ups, 50 products a day, and a few buzzwords — niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, peptides — recited with confidence. That's marketing, not science. Many have had laser, microneedling, sometimes Botox and filler, and won't mention it.

We've lived every one of these stories — you're not alone.

At the table.

The bites, sips and brands that made the night. Tap any to visit them.
